The Arkansas State Police have identified the decomposed body found on August 1 as that of 36-year-old Jessica Taylor of Russellville, who had been reportedly been missing since July 28 according to law enforcement sources.
The body was located August 1 at 703 Delaware Bay Road northwest of Dardanelle near the Yell and Logan County line in an extremely rural area in the Delaware community approximately fourteen miles southwest of Dardanelle.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division in their investigation.
The ASP took the lead the investigation relating to the death and remains of the woman were transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to confirm identity and determine the manner and cause of death.
Officials would not comment on the manner or circumstances surrounding the death.
