FAYETTEVILLE – Brett Dolan, a 27-year broadcasting veteran who has worked extensively with the Houston Astros, ESPN, Root Sports, Comcast SportsNet and Fox Sports Television, will be the official SEC Network voice of Razorback Athletics beginning later this month.
As Senior Broadcast Manager for On Air Talent and Content, Dolan will be the Razorbacks’ lead play-by-play talent for SEC Network broadcasts originating from the Razorback Sports Network (RSN). Dolan will also host numerous programs related to Razorback sports on RSN and Cox Sports Television. In addition, Dolan will oversee the strategic planning of video content for ArkansasRazorbacks.com, official social media platforms and other broadcast outlets affiliated with the department.
“It will be a privilege to cover so many different sports at the University of Arkansas for the passionate Razorbacks fan base and experience the Southeastern Conference first hand,” Dolan said.
Dolan comes to Fayetteville from Houston, Texas, where he has worked on broadcasts for the Houston Astros since 2006. He provided play-by-play and color analysis on the Astros’ regional radio network from 2006-12. In November 2012, he joined Root Sports Houston/Comcast Sportsnet as a pre-game and post-game host and sideline reporter.

Brett will help us tell the story of the men and women competing for the University of Arkansas while delivering those exciting moments that Razorback fans will remember for years to come.”
Dolan is a 12-year veteran of minor league baseball, including working six seasons with Tucson of the Pacific Coast League. In addition to his time with the Astros, Dolan broadcasted Montreal Expos’ games during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
His broadcasting experience extends beyond the professional baseball diamond. Dolan has been part of the broadcasts as a play-by-play announcer or sideline reporter for college football, college basketball and college baseball games for ESPN, ESPNU, ESPNews and ESPN3. He has also done numerous games as a radio play-by-play announcer for the American Sports Network, the Touchdown Radio Network and various IMG College Radio Networks.
Dolan has won numerous broadcasting awards during his career including being named the 2002 and 2003 Arizona Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He also was the recipient of the 2004 Crystal Award of Excellence in the Radio Sports Event category for his national broadcast of the 2004 Triple-A All-Star Game.
