FORT SMITH - The City of Fort Smith has released details of a few new things going in across the city, after giving details of the most significant building permits filed last week.
According to the city, Aspen Dental has filed to build a new building at 8237 Rogers Avenue (corner of Rogers and Massard) at a cost of $500,000. The convenience store that has occupied the lot for several decades will be demolished to make way for the construction.
Aspen Dental is a nationwide dental practice management company that assists local dentists with branding and management services. “Aspen Dental practices are committed to treating patients with the compassion and respect they deserve.” the company said via its’ website. “The practices believe in providing comprehensive care that addresses both your short- and long-term dental care needs, and promise to provide an honest, judgment-free environment where it all comes down to great care.”
The city also says that Dollar General has filed to build a store at 8621 Highway 271 South, just south of the Harvard Avenue intersection. The store will be built at a cost of $600,000, under the direction of Van Tassel-Proctor contractors.
Methodist Village will be adding 45 dwelling units to its’ assisted living campus. To do this, the city says they will demolish four existing buildings. The project comes at a cost of $6,162,750.00, and is under the direction of Rick Mooney Construction.
