FORT SMITH - Fort Smith Northside High School spent much of Thursday on a modified lockdown. District officials say they received a screenshot of a text message that was quickly deemed concerning, although it came from an untraceable number.

Parents received a message via the school’s automated telephone information system regarding the situation.

The school says the Fort Smith Police Department is investigating.
