FORT SMITH - The Fort Smith Police Department says they have identified and interviewed a potential witness in a death investigation last week. Investigators put out an all call for any clues as to who the person was on social media.
“The witness contacted the Police Department on his own.” the Department said. “He has been identified and interviewed. Thank you to everyone for the responses.”
The Department had made the announcement following the discovery of 48-year-old Josh Underwood’s body near the Supercuts store on South Zero Street. He was found on New Year’s Eve by employees reporting for work. The office of the State Medical Examiner said earlier this week that the death was caused by a case of hypothermia.
