The body of 9 year-old Reilly Scarbrough, missing since April 23, was located in a secluded wooded area west of Cove this morning at 11:55 a.m.
Scarbrough is the fourth member of the same family to be declared the victim of a homicide this week.
Polk County Sheriff Scott Sawyer announced at a 5:30 p.m. press conference this afternoon he anticipates the arrest of 29 year-old Brian Bliss Travis, who was the live-in boyfriend of Bethany Jo Wester, on multiple murder charges in the near future.
Sawyer said Scarbrough’s body was found with the assistance of Travis, who was already in custody on drug charges Wednesday after a search warrant was executed on the home he shared with Wester.
The bodies of Wester, her 2-year-old daughter Acelynn Carrie Wester, and 66-year old uncle Stephan J. Payne were all found earlier in the week in Polk County.
The case has been turned over to the office of Polk County Prosecuting Attorney Andy Riner for further review.
