Van Buren police officer David Hendrickson, who passed away earlier this week after a bout with cancer, was laid to rest Thursday as the funeral procession went down Main St. in downtown Van Buren.
Hendrickson has been remembered fondly by friends, law enforcement colleagues, and family after passing away Saturday at the age of 40. Flags were flown at half staff in Crawford County and will remain that way through the close of business on Friday.
Prior to becoming a police officer, Hendrickson was a broadcast media professional at 40/29 Television.
