VAN BUREN - The Christmas spirit has come to Crawford County, as local businesses spent the first weekend of December celebrating the upcoming holidays.
“The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce helped kick off the Christmas season in downtown Van Buren with its 13th annual Festival of Trees” the Chamber of Commerce noted. “Held in conjunction with the Crawford County Courthouse Lighting Ceremony and The Old Town Merchant Association’s Living Windows, the event drew hundreds to Main Street for a fun night of celebrating the holidays!”
The Festival of Trees awards went to the following organizations:
- First Place - Kiwanis Club of Van Buren (decorated by Kiwanis K-Kids)
- Second Place - Bancorp South (decorated by Central Elementary First Grade)
- Third Place - Heritage Church (decorated by Heritage Kids Ministry)
- Most Creative - Arkansas Federal Credit Union (decorated by staff)
