TULSA - Forecasters with the National Weather Service say it could be a bumpy ride this afternoon and tonight, but the reward may be some colder temperatures later in the week.
“A strong cold front will move through the region Monday and Monday night, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms primarily across far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.” the Tulsa forecast office said in their outlook. “Noticeably cooler temperatures will follow the front and persist through much of next week.”
Meteorologists say the best chances for storms are in far Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. Locally damaging wind gusts are one of the most dangerous components of the predicted weather.
Cold temperatures are expected to last into the weekend.
