FORT SMITH - The Fort Smith City Board will take a look at several items related to adopting the 2018 operating budget.

Two proposed items are expected to raise in excess of $1,000,000 for the city according to projections. Items on the table include a proposal to bring back a $100 business licensing fee, and an increase in the franchise fees related to some utilities.

A public forum will be presented for residents who wish to voice their opinion on the issue.

Other items on the agenda include policies related to city and police vehicles, and services for inhabitants of the Fort Smith Housing Authority properties.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday at 6:00 PM, in the Fort Smith Public Schools Services Center.
