FORT SMITH - Police say the man found dead in a Fort Smith shopping center over the weekend likely died from extreme hypothermia due to freezing conditions that set in over the area.
The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office, who released their findings on Thursday. Employees of the Supercuts store at 2700 South Zero Street found 48-year-old Josh Underwood’s body in their parking lot as they reported for work on Sunday morning.
