Reba Marie Newton Best Loux, 91, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 2 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with burial at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 12 – 8 p.m., where the family will visit with friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m. She is survived by one son, Rickey Best and wife, Charlotte of Montgomery, AL; four step-daughters, Sandy Crow and husband, Roger of Fort Smith, Staci Kauffman of Fort Smith, Betty Crawford of Tulsa and Debbie Madison of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Jon Karl VanWesterhuyzen and Danielle VanWesterhuyzen; nine step grandchildren, Cheryl Gates and husband, Adam, Kelly Woolf, Eric Kaufman, Nicholas Kaufman, Quinton Kaufman, John Crawford, Amy Victory, Craig Madison and Tracie Dye. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eston Best, one son, Carl Edward Best and a daughter, Linda Ruth VanWesterhuyzen. Pallbearers will be Damon Sadler, Jim Bynum, Michael Testerman, Aaron Wirth, Heath Jones and Benjamin Best.
