MANSFIELD - The high drama continues in the town of Mansfield, as the city council there voted Thursday night to strip the day-to-day operational responsibilities from Mayor Larry Austin.

The move follows months of tension following problems with the town’s water supply.

The Council voted to amend the town handbook to replace the Mayor with the city recorder/treasurer, who will assume many of his responsibilities.

Austin and his legal counsel Joey McCutcheon filed a lawsuit this week against the City of Mansfield.
