Doris Louise Tibbs, 65, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, December 31st, 2016. She was born on December 13th, 1951 in Fort Smith to the late Charlie and Waneda Daniels. She was retired from Southern Steel and Wire. She attended Saints Sabina and Mary Catholic Church in Jenny Lind, AR.
Rosary service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR with visitation to follow from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5th, 2017, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Douglass Cemetery in Jenny Lind, AR.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Milburn “Mel” Tibbs, four daughters Marla Hicks and husband Shawn of Fort Smith, Sandra Taylor and husband Randy of Greenwood, Cheryl Gray and husband Mark of Fort Smith and Deanna Thompson and husband Chris of Fort Smith, one brother Charles Wayne Daniels and wife Linda of Fort Smith, eight grandchildren Natosha Hicks, Megan Hicks, Christina Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Rachel Taylor, Hayley Krone, Cameron Krone and Adian Gray. and one great grandson Maximus Blake.
Pallbearers will be Michael Tibbs, Steven Tibbs, Charley Hicks, Rodney Daniels, Scott Daniels, David Janes, George Moschner and Brian Tibbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Scott, Larry Tibbs, Joe Vinson, Bob Wayne, Charles Wayne Daniels and Clay Strawhacker.
