VAN BUREN - The Van Buren Police Department reports that a small dog is recovering after being shot with an arrow.
“This dog was picked up on Park Ridge Drive today by Animal Control.” the Department posted on Facebook Tuesday. “It appears to have been shot with an arrow and is at Hub’s Clinic receiving treatment.”
Neighbors posting on the Department’s Facebook thread say that the arrows have been a problem in the past, and that the same dog was reportedly involved in a similar incident.
Animal Control tells InsideFortSmith.Com that the dog’s owners have been found, however anyone with information is urged to step forward by calling the Van Buren Police Department at 479-474-1234.
