FAYETTEVILLE - Tabbed as the greatest collection of college basketball teams in the history of sports, the Razorbacks will join elite company this week when they travel to Portland, Oregon, to compete in the Phil Knight Invitational, a three-day event to honor a legend on his 80th birthday.

“I know our guys are really excited to play in this event, but more importantly we get to honor someone that has been an innovator in our game,” said head coach Mike Anderson. “When you think about Phil Knight and the empire he has built at NIKE, he has had an unbelievable impact not only to the game of basketball, but all of sports.”

How good is the field at PK80? It’s one of the best ever, but we’ll let the numbers do the talking…

Consistency
All four current Division I coaches with 15+ years of head coaching experience and zero losing seasons will be at the Phil Knight Invitational, with three of them appearing in the Victory Bracket.

Roy Williams – Kansas/UNC – 30th year
Tom Izzo – Michigan State – 23rd year
Mark Few – Gonzaga – 18th year
Mike Anderson – UAB/Missouri/Arkansas – 16th year

Roy William and Mike Anderson are the only coaches to accomplish the feat at multiple schools, while Anderson stands alone as the only active head coach to do it at three institutions.

The Victory Bracket by the Numbers
14 National Championships
49 Final Fours
212 NCAA Championship appearances
373 NCAA Tournament wins
5 of the 8 schools have won a National Title
7 of the 8 teams have a Final Four appearance

First Up…
