A pair of local men face felony stealing charges after allegedly breaking into a Bolivar, Missouri business over the weekend.

Ryan Finney, 31, of Van Buren and Anthony Wallace, 20, of Alma, face class C felony stealing charges in Polk County (Mo.) Circuit Court. They are both being held in Polk County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.

According to the probable cause statement, Bolivar police officers and Polk County deputies responded to Hobbytime Motorsports in the 4300 block of Mo. 13 at around 3 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, for an alarm set off by a burglary in progress.

“Business owners were able to remotely access surveillance cameras showing at least two suspects inside the fence,” a BPD news release said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a suspect vehicle hidden behind the cargo trailer of a neighboring business.

Officers detained Finney, who was located in the vehicle. They later located Wallace a short distance away inside Hobbytime’s perimeter, the statement said.

Law enforcement found four Polaris UTVs and one Honda dirt bike lined up “in apparent preparation for removal at the edge of the business,” the release said. Officers also found the UTV ignitions had been tampered with.

Barron said additional charges may be added.

Both Finney and Wallace are scheduled to appear before Associate Circuit Judge John C. Porter at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18.
