The arrest of a Benton and Walnut Grove, Missouri man in the early morning hours on Wednesday has helped local police solve a rash of burglaries over a two day span.
Brian Nicolas Lafleur, 27, of Benton and Tony Alexander Cenzer, 31, of Walnut Grove were arrested on Wednesday in connecion with the seven burglaries.
On Tuesday and Wednesday during the overnight hours, the FSPD responded to seven commercial burglaries at Jerry Neel’s Bar-B-Q, Jim Grizzle Tire, Plato’s Closet, Fuji Japanese Steakhouse, , Autograph Car Wash, Chaffee Crossing Wine and Spirits and Asian Kitchen Express. At each break-in, glass door were shattered to gain entry.
Surveillance footage from one business captured the suspects leaving the scene in a dark blue Chevrolet Silverado and a similar vehicle was located at the Baymont Inn on Burnham Road early Wednesday morning and police learned the suspects were staying at the property.
Search warrants were obtain for both the vehicle and the room and a subsequent search at the motel uncovered items believed to have been stolen during the burglaries and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects and their truck was located at a local casino and followed back to the motel where they were taken into custody without incident. Both men requested attorney’s prior to an interview at the police station and both are being held without bond at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on seven counts of commercial burglary.
