ALMA - The Alma School District says contrary to rumors circulating on social media, there was not a weapon of any kind found on school district property in an incident that took place late last week.
“Thursday afternoon at Alma High School, a student made an inappropriate comment in class that could be interpreted to have been threatening. There was not a weapon of any kind on campus, and students and staff were never in any type of danger whatsoever.” the School District said on its’ website. “Even though there was no weapon and no danger, such a comment being made called for immediate and serious action by the school toward the student. The student has been removed from school, and appropriate legal action is being taken.”
The District said because the student in question is a minor, that there would be no further information available for release.
