TULSA - The National Weather Service says that much of the Arkansas River Valley is under a moderate to enhanced risk of severe weather today.
“Strong to severe storms may be ongoing across parts of eastern Oklahoma at sunrise on Wednesday morning, followed by a likely midday lull. Additional severe storms are expected to develop from mid afternoon into the evening,” Meteorologists said. “The primary severe weather threats include large hail up to the size of golfballs and damaging winds. Locally heavy rainfall and isolated tornadoes will also be possible.”
Severe storms moved through Western Oklahoma last night containing softball sized hail. Several cars near Sayre and Elk City reported busted windshields and damage during the storm.
