LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Department of Health said Wednesday that the number of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus has now risen to 33. The newest cases include one in Northwest Arkansas, detected in Washington County.
Of the cases, 26 were confirmed by the department, while seven cases were determined as positive by private labs.
According to the latest numbers, between five and nine of those tests were conducted in Sebastian County, all with negative results. No tests have been adminstered in Crawford County according to those same numbers.
Across the state, some 50 people are under investigation by the Health Department, while 377 persons are undergoing active monitoring.
