According to a preliminary crash summary filed by the Arkansas State
Police, a 78-year-old Waldron man died of injuries sustained in a
traffic accident on Monday on State Highway 80 east of Waldron in
Scott County.
Williams Owens died in the accident that occurred at 8;30 a.m. on
Monday. Police say the 1998 Toyota Owens was driving exited the
roadway and crashed through a fence.
Investigating trooper Johnathan Bass of Troop H reported the
conditions as clear and road as dry at the scene.
Owens body was being held at UAMS- Little Rock according to the ASP report.
