VAN BUREN - The Van Buren Police Department has announced that drivers in several areas will be under increased scrutiny with regard to their speed for the rest of the month.
“The following is information regarding streets that will be given special attention with the emphasis of enforcement placed upon speeding, seat belts, and littering.” the Department said in a release. “Radar will be used to enforce speed laws. The listed streets will be patrolled heavily during daylight hours.”
January 7 – January 13
Northridge East, between Fayetteville Road and the City Limits
North 16th Street, between Breckenridge and Pointer Trail
Kibler Road, between South 28th Street and the City Limits
January 14 – January 20
Rena Road, between Lee Creek and Pevehouse
North 20th Street, between Alma Boulevard and City Park
North 15th Street, between Highway 64 and Poplar Street
