Van Buren- Police have made an arrest in connection to a robbery which was reported from a residence on the 1300 block of Mulberry Street.
Initial reports from Van Buren Police identified 25 year old Frederick Lamart Thomas as a suspect in the robbery. Thomas was reported to have allegedly pointed a handgun at a female victim and stole her prescription medication before fleeing the scene.
A second suspect was later identified: 23 year old Denny Chavez Wise. Wise was also at the scene during the alleged robbery and fled with Thomas according to the latest media release from the Van Buren Police Department.
Both Thomas and Wise voluntarily turned themselves in at the Van Buren Police department on January 31st, 2019.
Thomas and Wise were both arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, a Class Y Felony in the state of Arkansas.
Both suspects are being held without bond at the Crawford County Detention Center.
Thomas is also being held on a Parole Violation.
