FORT SMITH - Authorities say they’ve identified their suspect in the March disappearance of a rare artifact that one belonged to Judge Isaac C. Parker. The lizard-shaped lapel pin disappeared from the Fort Smith Museum of History on March 24th.
“A warrant has been issued for 58 year old Mark Craig Stevens for theft by receiving (Felony).” Department spokesman Corporal Anthony Rice said in a statement. “Detective Danny Stanley with the Fort Smith Police Department would like to speak with Mr. Stevens about his involvement in this case. Anyone with information about this incident or knows the whereabouts of Mark Stevens are asked to call the Fort Smith Police Department at 479-709-5100.”
Individuals with information may also call Crime stoppers at 78-CRIME, where any information leading to an arrest in this case may also be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.
