TULSA — Severe thunderstorms are a good possibility in western Arkansas and Eeastern Oklahoma today. If they fire, these storms would accompany a cold front into the region.
“The greatest threat for severe weather will likely be in Southwest Arkansas, but it is still possible that a stray storm could be found in the Arkansas River Valley.” said Meterologist Dan Holiday of The Storm Report. “This system is expected to bring the worst of it to East Texas, but you can’t rule out strong storms and even a tornado or two in Southeast Oklahoma and on into parts of Arkansas.”
The storms would be most likely this afternoon and evening, with the possibility of 60 MPH wind gusts, and quarter sized hail.
“November is typically a time when we tend to see a weather event like this come together.” Holiday said. “It is important to keep an eye to the sky as the temperatures change.”
