HOT SPRINGS - Two River Valley teams are on top of the Arkansas volleyball world as they will head to the high school championship round in Hot Springs on Saturday.
The #1 seeded Greenwood Lady Bulldogs defeated #3 Siloam Springs (25-16, 25-16, 25-18) on Thursday in the Class 6A semi-finals played on their home floor at H.B. Stewart Arena. They’ll take on the Jonesboro Golden Hurricane, who shut out the Benton Lady Panthers in the opposite semi-final earlier in the day.
The Paris Lady Eagles will take on Hoxie in the Class 3A finals, after defeating Walnut Ridge 3-0 (25-10, 25-7, 25-22) in action heard live on ArklahomaSports.Com. Hoxie defeated Bergman on the opposite side of the bracket.
The Paris-Hoxie game will open up Championship Saturday as the Class 3A final is set for 11:00 AM. The Greenwood Lady Bulldogs will take the floor in the Class 6A finals at 5:00 PM. All games will be played at the Bank of the Ozarks Arena at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
