FAYETTEVILLE — As Razorback basketball prepares for its’ opener against Samford on November 10, the University says they’ll be without one of their crucial freshman recruits.

“Khalil Garland has not been cleared for full participation at this time due to an ongoing health matter.” coach Mike Anderson said in a statement. “He will continue to get treatment for this condition and the medical staff is optimistic that he will be cleared to return to full participation at a later date.”

The Little Rock Parkview grad showed quite a big of promise as a senior, averaging 12.9 points per game. The Razorbacks went 26-10 last year and reached the NCAA tournament for the second time in three years.
