FORT SMITH - The Fort Smith Police Department announced Tuesday that four people have been arrested in connection with multiple commercial burglaries in the southwest part of the city. The investigation began in November.

The Department said Tuesday that 46-year-old Corey Newberry, 24-year-old Jackie Tindall, 42-year-old Frankie Thompson, and 23-year-old Skylar Batt have all been taken into custody, but investigators

are still looking for one person that could have information in the case.

“On December 04, 2017 information was obtained that led to the first arrest in which a van was recovered from one of the Commercial Burglaries. This arrest provided further information leading to other arrests.” the Department said in a release. “Some of the items taken from these burglaries were recovered and returned to the owners, but Detectives are asking for your help in locating 20 year old Bruce Button Jr. Button has an unrelated outstanding warrant and is believed to have information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.”
