The Fort Smith Police Department has formed a basketball team as part of their community relations effort and the Men of S.H.E.I.L.D have scheduled to more games at local junior highs on Wednesday, May 24.

The challenges from Chaffin (10 a.m. and Ramsey (6p.m. have been accepted by the squad, who have played against a roster of UA alumni, Trinity Junior High and Kimmons Junior High so far.

The March 4 game against former Razorbacks was a fund raiser for the local Boys Shelter.

FSPD communications officer Daniel Grubbs says the games are “another means of making a deposit into the community’s bank.”
