FORT SMITH – A Fort Smith man will be sentenced today on murder charges, after being convicted Wednesday for his part in a gang related drive by shooting. 20-year-old Bryan Porras was found guilty on first degree murder charges, and for carrying out a terroristic act.

18-year-old Justin Lopez was killed when prosecutors say Porras fired a gun into a camper parked on North Ninth Street. At the time, Fort Smith Police said they believed at least 33 rounds of ammunition were fired.

In addition to the murder charge, Porras was convicted of being a felon in possession of a defaced firearm, and also on several drug charges.
