FORT SMITH – Former UAFS men’s basketball player Dijon Farr was recently signed by defending Costa Rica LBS champion Coopenae ARBA San Ramon.
The 27-year-old Pacolet, S.C., native returns to professional basketball after taking a year-long break. It’s his second stint with Coopenae ARBA San Ramon.
After finishing his collegiate playing career at UAFS, Farr signed with Al Qadisiya in the Saudi Arabia-Premier League one season before joining Coopenae ARBA San Ramon, where he was a part of the 2015 Costa Rican Clausura League Championship team. Most recently, he played for Panteras de Aguascalientes of the Mexican LNBP.
Farr played two seasons at Indian Hills Community College and one season at NCAA Division I Utah before transferring to UAFS for his senior season. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals and one assist per game for the Lions and was named Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference.
