FAYETTEVILLE – Details have emerged in the DWI arrest Sunday morning of Arkansas backup quarterback Cole Kelley. An official police report regarding the incident was released, showing exactly what happened during the traffic stop.
According to the report from arresting Officer Levi Samuels, Kelley was observed near the intersection of Wedington Drive and Shiloh, which is near the Interstate 49 interchange. Heading west, Kelley’s truck allegedly topped the curb on the right side of the road, prompting Samuels to initiate the traffic stop in the parking lot of a Taco Bell.
Samuels said Kelley’s field sobriety test was hampered by a medical brace on his right foot. According to the report, his eyes were red and watery at the time of the stop.
Kelley was scheduled for a hearing in Washington County District Court this morning.
