BASEBALL: Hogs set to host NCAA regional

The Arkansas Razorback baseball team, despite a 4-2 loss to the LSU Tigers on Sunday in the SEC tournament title game, has been pegged as one of the sixteen programs from across the nation to host a first round regional tournament this week.
The Diamond Hogs (42-17) will be the host team and the probable #1 seed for the four-team regional set to begin June 2.
Each regional field features four teams, playing in a double-elimination format.The Regional’s will start either Thursday, June 1 and will run through either Sunday, June 4 or Monday, June 5, while the others are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, June 2 to Monday, June 5 (if necessary).
The SEC will he hosting for Regional’s (Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky and LSU).
The complete field of 64 teams will be announced on Monday.
