POTEAU - The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says an inmate escaped custody at the Jim Hamilton Correctional Facility near Hodgen on Sunday afternoon.
Rodney Williams is a black male with a “Lucky Lo” tattoo on his neck. He is 6’1 and weighs around 189 pounds. The Department says he went missing around 2:00 PM on sunday.
“Williams had placed a dummy on his bed, and covered it with a blanket. Staff completed a sweep of the outside buildings and grounds at approximately 3:00 p.m. Inmate Williams was last seen at 1:00 p.m., when his unit was released for lunch,” the Department reported. “Staff are reviewing video to attempt to determinate a direction of travel.”
Officials say Williams was serving a 15 year charge for trafficking a dangerous substance and has noted gang connections in the Tulsa area.
