NORMAN - Tre Norwood has made his intentions known - he is headed to the NFL. The Northside High School graduate penned a farewell Friday to Oklahoma Sooners fans and announced his intentions via social media.

“From the day I stepped on campus, it has been nothing but love,” Norwood said. “I will forever remember the feelings and passion you bring to Norman on Saturdays as well as the constant support and love throughout my career.”

As a player at Fort Smith Northside, he was chosen by 247Sports as the number four player in the state of Arkansas. He chose Oklahoma over Louisville, Notre Dame, Tennessee and others. After missing the 2019 campaign due to injury, he led the Sooners with five interceptions during his redshirt junior season.

He was named the Cotton Bowl’s Defensive MVP after the Sooners’ victory over Florida earlier this week.
