Baker Mayfield

The starting quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners spent Saturday morning behind bars after being arrested by Fayetteville police overnight. 21 year old Baker Mayfield was booked into the Washington County Detention Center just after 8:00 this morning.

Mayfield faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and fleeing. He will have an appearance in Washington County District Court on Monday morning.

The three year starter for the Sooners finished third in the race for this year’s Heisman Trophy. According to Sooners Illustrated the University was unaware of the charges and had no comment when a spokesman was reached earlier this morning.
