FORT SMITH - Samuel Price, 24-year-old food service Department Manager, college
student, and local resident has officially declared his candidacy for Position 5 At-Large on the Fort Smith City Board of Directors.

“Ever since I was kid, I have wanted to be an instrument for change,” Samuel said, “The idea of making other’s lives better has always fascinated me. That same idea has driven me to every major personal and professional goal that I strive for today. After much prayer, discussion and deliberation, I have decided to run for a Position on the City Board of Directors (At-Large Position 5). In this role, I hope to encourage favorable changes to our city that can get us moving towards prosperity and away from mediocrity.”

Samuel is currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. He attends
Grand Canyon University through the schools extensive online learning program. In addition to attending college, Samuel is employed at a local McDonald’s restaurant in the city as a Department Manager. Having worked multiple jobs for extended periods while attending school, and since his classwork is completed in the online format, Samuel maintains that balancing his job, schoolwork, and responsibilities as City Director will not be an issue if he is elected.
