A Batesville funeral home will be forced to put its’ business on hold following the revelation that they allegedly cremated the wrong person.

KARK Television reports Thursday that Willis Funeral Home cremated the wrong person on October 3rd. An attorney for the business says that a mixup in paperwork from the VA hospital in Little Rock led to the wrong body being sent to their facility.

Now, the Arkansas State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers has met and after an inspection, has suspended the company’s license to practice.

A hearing in the matter is set for next Thursday.
