AUGUST 15, 1930 – DECEMBER 4, 2018
Velma Jennell Schleiff Dove, 88, of Van Buren, went to be with Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in Fort Smith. She was born August 15, 1930 in Fort Smith to the late Robert Theodore and Mildred Alpha (Seaton) Schleiff. Jennell spent 40-plus years in the Property and Casualty insurance business in five different states, and achieved the CPCU designation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Bilo Dove; a son, Emmitt Wesley Dove; and two brothers, Richard Wesley Schleiff and Donald Smith, Sr.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Jeanne Dove of the home; a sister, Nayfee Spencer and husband Jim of Van Buren; two granddaughters, Emily Claire Haygood and husband Ryan of Fort Worth, and Christine E. Krynak of Santa Cruz, CA; two grandsons, Richard Emmitt Dove of Connecticut, and Timothy Peter Krynak of Atascadero, CA; four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins and friends.
Family-hosted memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
