FORT SMITH - Three people were jailed Thursday following what Fort Smith Police are calling the bust of a marijuana growing operation. 65-year-old Judith Mills, 25-year-old Kevin Mills, and 24-year-old Alexandra Nelting were all charged following an investigation that came from an anonymous tip.
Police Spokesman Corporal Anthony Rice says investigators were pointed toward the home after a tip via the Department website indicated there were hundreds of marijuana plants and peyote cactus inside the house.
The tip also alleged quantities of unprescribed methadone.
