TULSA - After every kind of springtime weather event imaginable taking place over the last few days, the National Weather Service says that we should see pleasant conditions in the forecast heading into the weekend.
Current forecasts show sunny skies and highs in the mid-eighties heading into the weekend. Unfortunate, the Tulsa Forecast Office says that it won’t be a lot of help for the flood waters down below.
“While the chances of additional heavy rainfall have diminished tonight, widespread areal flooding continues,” Meteorologists said. “Expect some low- lyings areas and roads to remain flooded for several days, especially in the vicinity to larger mainstream river channels.”
The office continues a Flood Warning for the following rivers:
- Arkansas River at Van Buren affecting Crawford and Sebastian Counties.
- Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam affecting Franklin, Johnson and Logan Counties.
- Lee Creek near Van Buren affecting Crawford and Sequoyah Counties.
