TULSA - The National Weather Service says that much of Green Country could receive stormy weather on Tuesday night, but they aren’t expecting much in the way of damage.

“Shower and thunderstorm chances become possible mainly over Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as a weak frontal boundary looks to hold up near the region.” Forecasters said on Monday morning. “Widespread severe weather is not anticipated with this activity.”

Meteorologists say that after this round of weather moves through, we could see more in the area toward the weekend.

“Additional thunderstorm chances are forecast during the weekend as another cold front looks to move through Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.” the National Weatehr Service said in their Hazardous Weather Outlook. “Gusty southerly winds will again be possible Friday into the weekend ahead of this frontal boundary. Some severe potential may be possible as the front moves through Saturday night and Sunday.”
