Sallsaw police have issued a be-on-the-lookout order for a gold, four-door Buick LaSabre that was involved in a hit and run accident on Tuesday.
Police said the car, which had several occupants, struck a person that was exiting a vehicle near the intersection of Hickory and Cherokee near the Charlie’s Chicken Restaurant.
Witnesses said the person struck had yelled at the driver of the LaSabre to “slow down” moments before he was struck. The victim was walking on the sidewalk when he was hit and the Buick left the scene immediately.
The victim was life-flighted to a Fayettville hospital in undetermined condition with head injuries..
Police said the suspect car, with Arkansas license plate 843-UKU, may have a damaged, driver’s side tail light.
