FORT SMITH - The demolition of a former restaurant location is one of the more notable permits issued by the City of Fort Smith this week for building and construction.
The former location that housed brands like Thai Taste and Hoang Son Vietnamese Restaurant at 4700 Rogers Avenue will be demolished at a cost of $70,000. The demolition is part of the expansion of the Hillside Plaza development.
Other projects receiving permits include the new Transit Authority CNG Building at 6921 Jenny Lind. The project is being built by the City of Fort Smith at a cost of $1,455,000 and will be facilitated by Steve Beam Construction.
The city will also spend some $50,000 to expand a parking lot at 3900 Kelley Highway.
Johnson Real Estate LLC has been issued a building permit to remodel the interior of a pediatric clinic at a cost of $737,000. Beshears Construction will facilitate the project.
The Lavvorn Wholesale Lumber Corporation will build new lumber sheds at 400 Phoenix and 515 Phoenix respectively. The combined cost of the two projects is $201,000.
