Rebecca Jane Daugherty Phillips, 78, passed away in Fort Smith on Dec. 23, 2018. She was born in Camden to Roy Green and Opal Sanders Daugherty. She attended Lindenwood College for Women and the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Phillips Corley and husband William H. Corley of Fayetteville, AR; Susan Phillips Kirkman and her husband William E. Kirkman of Springfield, MO; and her granddaugher, Ava Rebecca Shirley of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by Cooper Corley of Fayetteville, AR; Brian and Sonja Kirkman Shipman and their son Carter of Springfield, MO; Jason and Angie Kirkman O’Brien and their children, Blake, Brooke, and Blaire of Overland Park, KS; Jansen and Katy Kirkman Rudy and their daughters Caelyn, Lauren, and Evelyn of Springfield, MO.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 3 at 2:00 pm in Roebuck Chapel, First United Methodist Church, Fort Smith. A private family committal service will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at St Paul’s Episcopal Church Columbarium in Fayetteville. Services entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
