The Arkansas State Police has identified an 87-year old resident of Fort Smith who was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian accident at 11:58 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North 10th and Garrison Avenue.
According to the unofficial accident report, William Laws was walking north in the crosswalk of the intersection when he was struck by a Ford F350 pick-up truck making a left tun onto Garrison Ave.
Laws was taking to Sparks Regional medical center where he died of his injries.
The accident report was delayed until late Wednesday afternoon pending notification of Law’s next of kin.
