A Johnson County vehicle pursuit Wednesday evening ended in a wrecked car, an arrest and a pregnant female airlifted to an area hospital.

Domicik Redd, 26, of Russellville remained in the Johnson County Detention Center on Thursday on a no bond hold following his arrest for aggravated assault, fleeing by motor vehicle, theft of motor fuel, reckless driving, driving on suspended license and driving left of center after leading law enforcement on a circuitous chase resulting from a gas drive-off at the Hagarville Store.

The store had reported the gas theft just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday and officer spotted the suspect vehicle, which had been involved in an earlier pursuit that morning, on Highway 123 near the intersection of Highway 164.

The suspect vehicle survived one PIT maneuver and avoided spike strips laid out on the highway just outside of the Ozone community, but a second PIT by JCSO corporal Brent Scott succeed in ending the chase on Highway 21.

A pregnant female passenger in the Mustang was taken by ambulance to a rural fire station then air-lifted to St. Mary’s Regional hospital in Russellville in unknown condition.
