Marcus Sharp

The Lucha Libre mask-wearing, counter-jumping, motorcycle stealing and crashing, Pic-N-Tote robbing bandit arrested this week after pulling a gun on clerks in a Phoenix Avenue convenience store appears to be a bi-state multi-tasker.

Marcus Sharp, 27, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, felony fleeing apprehension, theft by receiving and held on no bond for a felony parole violation on Tuesday after robbing the Pic-N-Tote Convenience Store located at 2000 Phoenix Avenue. Sharp was also on parole and the motorcycle he was driving was reported stolen out of Russellville.

Sharp has all the earmarks of a career criminal.

He’s just not every good at it.

Sharp, who has been arrest eight times in Sebastian County alone since July of 2015, can add some Okahoma woes to his list of criminal accomplishments as he was cited Tuesday in Sequoyah County District Court for a late May incident that resulted in endangering others while eluding police officers and running a roadblock.

Additional charges included removing proper or affixing improper license plate, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and failure to signal on turning.

Sharp had been free on a $2,500 bond from Sequoyah County since May 31 awaiting his arrangement this past week.

He told the arresting officers in Oklahia he fled because he was already on parole out of Arkansas and was not supposed to be out of the state as one of the conditions of that parole

In the Oklahoma incident, much like his Fort Smith escapades, the inability to keep his escape vehicle out of ditches proved to be his downfall.

Sharp led Roland police on a 15-mile pursuit that started in Roland, proceeded north to Liberty School then looped back to the south towards Muldrow.

Shortly after running a roadblock Sharp lost control and the vehicle he was driving, a Dodge Durango registered to Cookson Hills Electric, slid into a ditch and Sharp was then taken into custody.

Officers involved in the chase said the Durango reached 80 miles per hour at times and the reckless driving by Sharp resulted in several vehicles having to pull over and stop in order to avoid possible collision with the suspect vehicle.

The arrest in Fort Smith resulted in the third parole violation for Sharp since April 22.

In less than two years, Sharp has been convicted of felony and misdemeanor theft by receiving, driving on suspended or revoked license, numerous failure to appear and pay fines offenses as well as being placed on a no bond hold as an assist to an outside agency.
