A 47-year-old resident of Park Hill, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment, and three years of supervised release for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of an unregistered firearm (sawed off shotgun) in Thursday’s session of the the Eastern District of Oklahoma in Muskogee.
Park Hill is located in southwestern Cherokee County a few miles from Talequah.
The defendant, Jeffery Scott Hofman, was charged in the indictement with ” knowingly and intentionally possess with intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance”.
According to court records, on or about November 5, 2016, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, the defendant, did knowingly possess a shotgun having a barrel less than 18 inches in length not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Hulbert Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The defendant will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which the non-paroleable sentence will be served.
